Every book is judged by its cover. It’s a well-known fact that covers help readers decide if they want to open a book. And the more likely they are to open it, the more likely they are to read it.
Digital covers can print in black or 4-color process.
McNaughton & Gunn has the ability to create eye-catching covers through a variety of cover stocks and finishing techniques. Gloss Film Lamination and Luxury Matte Film Lamination are our coating options on Digital Covers.
We offer two standard cover stocks: 10 point and 12 point C1S.
See below for a brief explanation of the available treatments.
Gloss Film Lamination: Strong adhesion to heavy ink coverage with good durability to protect and enhance colors. This type of film creates an extreme gloss finish.
Luxury Matte Film Lamination: Strong adhesion to heavy ink coverage with good durability to protect colors. This type of film creates a non-reflective matte finish and will mute most colors. It creates a soft touch similar to velvet or silk.
